Field of application: quick, simultaneous determination of oxygen and hydrogen from steel, cast iron, copper, zirconium, titanium, molybdenum, nickel, ceramics and similar inorganic samples.Field of application: quick, simultaneous determination of oxygen and hydrogen from steel, cast iron, copper, zirconium, titanium, molybdenum, nickel, ceramics and similar inorganic samples.
Structure: the device consists of two units, the analyzer - which contains the high-performance furnace - and the cooler of the furnace. A circulation cooler can also be ordered as an option.
Operating principle: completely identical to the previously described ON analyzers, but instead of helium, the device uses high-purity (99.995%) nitrogen as a carrier gas for both elements to be determined. The sample is also burned in a graphite crucible.
Oxygen is determined by infrared cells, while hydrogen is determined by thermal conductivity measuring cells.
Fraction analysis
Since the performance of the furnace can be fine-tuned, fractional analysis becomes possible, which means breaking down the bonds of individual oxides and nitrides at different temperatures.
By raising the temperature in a controlled manner, the signals of the individual fractions are completely separated. The software integrates these curves separately, and the result can be specified according to each fraction.
