High temperature elemental analyzer for quantitative CN or CHNS determination of large sample masses. Capable of simultaneously determining carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen and sulfur in a single configuration. Combining innovative crucible technology, advanced detection, intelligent automation and high throughput.
Designed for the analysis of macroorganic samples, it provides high accuracy, robustness and ease of use for a wide range of matrices including soil, fertilizers, biomass, wastes, polymers, petrochemical products, fuels, coal and coke.
A dynamic, reagent-free vertical furnace that reaches temperatures up to 1350 °C, ensuring complete oxidation of complex macro samples. Carbon, hydrogen and sulfur are measured using an NDIR detector, while nitrogen is measured using a thermal conductivity detector (TCD). The combination of high combustion temperature, optimized gas flow and dual detection technology ensures accurate and repeatable results for CHNS analysis in accordance with ISO and ASTM standards. Monitoring of oxygen consumption during combustion also allows the determination of the total oxygen demand (TOD), supporting the estimation of the calorific value of the sample.
It combines low operating costs with a reagent-free combustion process, ensuring reliable analysis and minimizing laboratory costs. Its robust design extends the life of key components, including the reducing tube, while front access simplifies routine maintenance, helping to reduce downtime. Operation with helium or argon as carrier gas provides flexibility without hardware modifications.
The instrument is managed by EMASoft XL™ software, which provides intuitive control over all analytical steps, from method setup to results visualization. Detectors provide real-time visibility of analytical signals and system performance, while automatic leak checks and system diagnostics ensure consistent reliability over time. Adaptive combustion control automatically adjusts analytical conditions to sample behavior, ensuring complete and reproducible combustion.
Velp Ermes connectivity provides secure cloud-based access, data sharing, and full traceability from any device. Users can remotely monitor results, manage analyses, and schedule maintenance, while maintaining full operational control.
