Pipetting bulbs and Griffin in various designs.
Frequently asked questions about the difference between two-valve and three-valve Griffin:
The three-valve Griffin requires two hands to compress the ball. The valve at the upper end must be pushed in with one hand, while the air must be forced out of the ball with the other hand. After that, you can fill the pipette with the valve under the ball, while the valve on the side can be used to set the pipette exactly to the mark (subtly reduce the liquid level).
The two-valve Griffin requires one hand to operate: the upper valve is automatic (therefore it is not even counted as a valve). Because of this, more force is required to compress the ball. The suction / charging on signal is the same as in the case of the three-valve. The advantage of the two-valve Griffin is that the liquid remaining in the pipette, which can no longer be measured, is removed slightly better than with the three-valve one.
We would like to draw your attention to the Safetypette pipetting bulbs. They can be operated significantly more comfortably than the classic Griffin.
