For the homogenization of certain microbiological samples, the so-called Stomacher is used.
The bag used for this must be sterile, of adequate capacity, and very strong so that it does not burst during homogenization.
The stomacher bags are produced in three sizes: 80 ml (22.15001), 2000 ml (22.15003, 32.5421) and 3500 ml (22.15004). The 400 ml Stomachers are most often used, the 2000 ml bags are suitable for them, which can hold max. 400 ml of liquid may be added for homogenization.
