SYKAM GmbH (Germany) has been active in the chromatography market for more than 35 years. The company was founded in 1984 after the company founder (Klaus-Dieter Meier) left his previous workplace, BIOTRONIK.

The founder's sons (Frank and Dirk Meier) later joined SYKAM, making the company a family business. Initially, the components of HPLC systems - starting with the HPLC pump - were planned to be developed and manufactured.

Over the years, the development of the devices also extended to automatic samplers, detectors, classic amino acid analyzers and ion chromatographs.

In 2000, the company moved to its own building, which was expanded in 2013 to meet the constantly growing production space requirements.

In addition to liquid chromatographs, SYKAM offers a wide range in OEM design, or even individual modules if a system of another manufacturer needs to be supplemented.

SYKAM develops its own devices and manufactures everything in-house. This means a very wide palette, starting from the assembly/soldering of electronic cards, through mechanical processing to the construction of devices and their factory testing.
