SYKAM GmbH (Germany) has been active in the chromatography market for more than 35 years. The company was founded in 1984 after the company founder (Klaus-Dieter Meier) left his former workplace, BIOTRONIK.

The founder's sons (Frank and Dirk Meier) later joined SYKAM, so the company became a family business. Their activity depends on the components of HPLC systems - e.g. It started with the development and production of HPLC pumps.

Over the years, the development of devices - in addition to complete HPLC devices - has also included automatic samplers, detectors, classical amino acid analyzers and ion chromatographs.

In 2000, the company moved to its own building, which was expanded in 2013 to meet the constantly growing production space requirements.

In addition to the direct distribution of chromatographs, SYKAM offers a wide range of chromatographic main parts (pump, degasser, detector, preparative pumps, fraction collectors, valves, injector ports, etc.) in OEM construction, or even individual modules, if a system of another manufacturer needs to be supplemented.

SYKAM develops its own devices and manufactures everything in-house. This means a very wide palette, starting from the assembly/soldering of electronic cards, through mechanical processing to the construction of devices and their factory testing.

SYKAM does not use the term "outdated type, there are no more parts for it, buy a new device". They take the necessary parts off the shelf even for their oldest device!

SYKAM's ion chromatographs are presented below:

SYKAM's S155-A and S155-C series compact ion chromatographs are suitable for the determination of anions and - without the use of a suppressor - cations with the installation of a suitable column. Sample input is done manually here

From the devices of the S 15x series, you can choose the system composed of the appropriate modules according to the user's needs.

  • Type S 151-M: for anion determination, with manual injector, isocratic pump
  • Type S 151-G: for anion determination, with manual injector, quaternary gradient pump
  • Type S 151-A: for anion determination, with automatic sample dispenser, isocratic pump
  • Type S 151-AG: for anion determination, with automatic sample dispenser, quaternary gradient pump
  • Type S 152-M: for cation determination, with manual injector, isocratic pump
  • Type S 152-G: for cation determination, with manual injector, quaternary gradient pump
  • S 152-A: for cation determination, with automatic sample dispenser, isocratic pump
  • S 152-AG: for cation determination, with automatic sample dispenser, quaternary gradient pump
  • S 153-A DUAL: for simultaneous determination of anion and cation, with automatic sample dispenser, isocratic pump
  • S 153-AG DUAL: for simultaneous determination of anion and cation, with automatic sample dispenser, isocratic and quaternary gradient pump

As an additional option, the devices can be ordered with a UV/VIS detector.

The devices are computer controlled. The software called "CLARITY" is used for data collection and measurement evaluation. The software is FDA-21 CFR Part 11 compliant.

The hardware is controlled by a version of the CLARITY software supplemented with a control module. The software is user-friendly and easy to learn.
